Tuna Fillets in Soy and Miso Marinade
Ingredients
- 1/3-cup sake
- 1/3-cup mirin
- 3 Tbs. soy sauce
- ΒΌ cup firm brown sugar
- 1/3-cup miso paste
- 4 x 4 ounce tuna fillets, about 1 inch thick
- 2 Tbs. chopped spring onion
Preparation
Add the sake, mirin, soy sauce, brown sugar and miso paste to a bowl and whisk together. Place the tuna in a large sealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Chill in the refrigerator for 3-6 hours. Arrange the fillets in a non-stick saucepan and lightly sear the tuna for 1-2 minutes on each side. Sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving. |
